Complete IT took over a chemical manufacturer's unstable IT environment, rebuilt the infrastructure, and enabled a seamless office expansion
Orlichem is a chemical manufacturing business based in Cape Town. With around 38 staff operating across a single campus, and a newly developed office area waiting to be brought online, the business needed an IT ecosystem that could keep daily operations running smoothly while supporting their physical expansion.
Their previous IT provider had left the environment unstable, under secured, and frustratingly reactive. They were caught in the noise of failing tech instead of focusing on what they actually excel at, which is manufacturing.
Often in business, you only know what you know. Many companies carry on, struggling with their IT, completely unaware that it should not be this difficult. When Orlichem reached out to us, the situation was clear: they were living in a constant state of firefighting.
On the surface, things might have seemed operational, but in reality, there was chaos in the backend. Support tickets were piling up, there was no proactive management, and the business was paying the price in downtime. Security was an afterthought with no proper firewall oversight, no consistent endpoint protection, and a growing concern over business continuity.
At the same time, they were trying to expand. A newly developed office space needed fibre, networking, and physical security before staff could move in. They could not afford to keep patching up the old environment while building out the new one.
We do not approach problems purely from a technology perspective; we look at the commercial reality and use technology as a fit for purpose toolset to solve it. Rather than hanging around and patching a fundamentally broken setup, we pulled the trigger on a complete overhaul. We built them an environment designed for stability today and scalability tomorrow.
We assumed complete responsibility for Orlichem's server infrastructure, firewall, and network. We removed the complexity and the "not our problem" runaround. We put proactive monitoring and support processes in place to catch and resolve issues before they ever hit the manufacturing floor.
The new office space was brought online end to end without delays or excuses:
Decisions around security have real consequences. We specified, installed, and configured cameras across the new office space, integrating visibility into the broader environment so the team has clear oversight from day one.
We deployed consistent antivirus and endpoint protection across all workstations, closing the glaring gaps left by the previous provider. Combined with managed firewall oversight, we moved their business out of a vulnerable state and into active, robust protection.
We make IT simpler through collaboration and innovative solutions, and the early signs of this stabilisation project prove exactly that. Day to day disruptions have dropped drastically. Support responsiveness is fast and transparent, with no confusing complexity, just solutions that make sense. The team finally has confidence in their IT environment, and the new office space is fully operational, connected, and secure. Orlichem can now get back to their core business, completely trusting us to handle ours.
"Initial feedback from the Orlichem team has been positive across the board, showing fewer interruptions, faster support, and visible professionalism in how the rollout was delivered. The foundation is in place. The next phase focuses on continued optimisation, deeper security enhancements, and infrastructure modernisation as the business grows."
